The asterRIDE teams wishes everyone a fantastic 2018! My team is planning for another fantastic year in 2018. The IATA and GBTA are both forecasting growth of 3.6% for travel overall in 2018 and indicate a 1% overall increase for ground transportation in 2018. While this may not seem to be a lot, for the travel industry a single percentage represents a lot in actual dollars.
Thanks to our customers who chose to utilize our outstanding service provided by our chauffeurs, our limo partners and our operations team. In 2017, asterRIDE had a break out year – expanding into Canada, Europe, Asia and South America. We now have limousine operations in each of these major markets offering a full array of limousine services from luxury sedans, SUVs, sprinters up to coach buses. Within the US, we expanded to every major capital city and many secondary cities providing a host of transfers from airport and hotel transfers to cruise transfers to using coaches for sports teams and large events.
AsterRIDE learned a lot about our customers, ourselves and our partners. The biggest observation we recognized is that customer service wins over passengers. Let me explain. AsterRIDE is certainly not the cheap rideshare service and while we are also not the highest price transportation service either. However, customers told us our service is what stood out to them…on time, reliable and professional. We learned that being consistent with your service and putting the passenger first, will make you so good that the passengers will come back time after time…even when you do have the rare, occasional mishap…which is going to happen. I am very pleased with the efforts of the team and how we adapted to changes to provide this level of service.
Travel managers and travel agents across the globe found us to serve their clients efficiently and effectively providing their clients with first class, reliable service they cannot get anywhere else. We created very easy to use booking portals and tools for our customers (travel agents, corporate, admins, and hotel/restaurant partners). And our current technology roadmap includes more tools and enhancements to our mobile app and portals. I hope you can see why we are so excited.
Look for 2018 to bring more innovation and a wider array of locations and service offerings.
